Just wanted to wish a happy new year to my readers all over the world. No matter what 2013 brought you, I hope next year brings you more joy, health and happiness!

For my chronically ill readers, how do you celebrate the new year? Are you able to stay up until midnight? (This girl? NO WAY!!)

See you on the flip side!

  1. For the past several years a dear couple come over, suit up, and we eat and play games until midnight. Then everyone scurries home or to bed before turning into pumpkins. This year, they are on a trip with family ( a gift from their daughter and son-in-law) so we will be watching a movie, maybe playing a game or two, and most likely without the stimulation of company be in bed by 10.

  2. Hi there, just saying thanks for the really nice thoughts from you to everyone. I really enjoy corresponding with people from all over the world, as it helps make up for me losing a lot of my friends, from me no longer being able to work. Your thoughts are a bright note on another day that would be otherwise the same pain filled day as all the others. I thank you for thinking of everyone, I wish you all the best for the coming year, good health. Kind regards, Jeff Hawkes

    1. Hi Jeff, thank you so much for your comment! Being ill can be very lonely, and I’m so grateful for everyone who reaches out to support me, or allows me to support them. I can’t imagine what life must have been like for the chronically ill before the internet! Happy New Year!

    2. Hi Jeff: Jumping in here – do you have a blog? I checked your profile but nothing is listed. I see that you had back surgery and like to drum. I would love to connect with you too. 🙂

  3. Isn’t it funny that I don’t even remember NYE 2012? YIKES. Well, this year as I am recovering from surgery I was in bed by 10, or actually, probably way before that. These last few weeks I’ve been in my bed by 8 ISH, but then up in like 2 hours with the dreaded NIGHT SWEATS……..BAHA. Choke. Gross. Urg.
