As October is Dysautonomia Awareness month, I am again helping to put together a fundraiser this year! If you’re located near here, I hope you can join us!
The event will be on Wednesday, October 29th at the California Pizza Kitchen restaurant in La Jolla at 3363 Nobel Drive
La Jolla, CA 92037. CPK will generously donate 20% of food and beverage sales for anyone who brings in our flyer to Dysautonomia International. The event lasts all day, so stop by CPK for lunch or dinner!
I understand that sometimes people are hesitant to donate to organizations they have never heard of. That’s the beauty of our fundraiser – all you have to do is pay for your food. There are no extra or hidden costs! The fundraiser applies to eating in, or taking out. So, if you have a busy day on the 29th, perhaps you could pick up dinner to go!
Please print out the flyer at this link and bring it with you: Dysautonomia Flyer If you’re not located near here, please feel free to forward it to anyone you know who is! There’s no cure for most forms of dysautonomia, including mine. We need more financial support for continued research!
So, again, the details are:
Wednesday, October 29th, 2014
California Pizza Kitchen – 3363 Nobel Drive, La Jolla, CA 92037
All Day!!
****Be sure to print out the flyer from the link above and bring it with you!!
Thank you!
Smell ya later.
– Linds
I had to look up what this was – had never heard of it, so thank you for posting. I shop at the Whole Foods across the street, so I will make it a point to head over on the 29th and get some food. Hope you raise a lot!
Thank you!!
Thank you Linds! We are going to try to make it! We are officially new to the scene…but have been battling with it for awhile, as most I am sure!
I’m sorry to hear that. Hope you can come!
We went btw! Dakota so looked forward to going!!! Thank you–she looked so pretty with her teal blue hair! 5 of us in total!
That’s wonderful! Are you in our Facebook group? We’ll probably plan a holiday get together towards the end of the year!
I wish you all the best in this fundraiser!
thanks, Kathryn! i hope we get a big turnout!
THIS IS ALL KINDS OF GREAT! Was it a hard sell to convince them to do this? I’m thinking of Rare Disease Day and Brain Tumor Awareness month….
I think all California Pizza Locations offer fundraisers for approved 501(c) non-profits. They require a w9 for proof of 501(c) status, but after that it’s very easy to setup and the manager works with you. You can find more info here: http://www.cpk.com/company/cpkids/ That link says their fundraisers are for kids, but many nonprofits that don’t focus on kids specifically (e.g. Dysautonomia International) have held fundraisers. If you have a local CPK, it’s worth a call to their manager to find out!
thanks!
