I have become less than satisfied with my web hosting company as of late. Every 3-4 weeks I have been having technical issues with my website. The problems are resolved quickly, but I’m spending way too much time chatting (my host company doesn’t have tickets or a phone number to call) with tech support. No record is kept of the repeated issues, so I start from zero with each complaint to the tech department.
If you self-host a WordPress site and have a hosting company that you are happy with, please let know who you use!

I starting using Kloudhost earlier this year who I’ve found to be brilliant – they helped get my site moved from my last host, you can open ‘tickets’ to ask questions and they always seem to reply very quickly so they’re a lifesaver for me (who’s not great at this blog/hosting malarky!) and I’ve had no problems with the hosting itself at all so I’m really happy with them.

You can also ask them to active an SSL certificate – this will make your blog ‘secure’ so you’ll get HTTPS at the top address bar and it be better for anyone viewing your blog.

It is! I know switching is going to take some time, which is why I put it off for so long. But it’s time, I’m too frustrated to continue to go through this every 3-4 weeks.
I have my blog with iPage and have been very happy with them. No technical issues ever and its a very user friendly format. I post my new content every Monday and its easy to learn and update. I’d love to connect with everyone on this blog thru facebook! scott kim wiens
